The Cluby app is updated regularly — every new version brings improvements, new features and important bug fixes. This guide shows you how to make sure you're always on the latest version.
Why it's worth using the latest version
The latest version runs fastest and most reliably. Here are the main reasons to update the app:
🐛 Bug fixes — each update addresses any issues that have been found. Log-in, NFC stamping and benefit activation problems, for example, are often solved by an app update.
✨ New features — we develop the app all the time. Using new loyalty benefits, Stamp Passes, birthday gifts and event features often requires the latest version.
⚡ Speed and performance — the app loads faster, screens update more smoothly and the battery lasts longer.
🔒 Security — we keep your personal data safe with the latest protection techniques.
📱 Phone compatibility — when your phone's operating system (iOS or Android) updates, apps need to update too to stay compatible.
🎁 Loyalty benefits and push messages — an outdated app can leave you missing out on restaurants' latest loyalty benefits and notifications.
How to check your current version
Open the Cluby app on your phone
Go to the Profile tab (bottom menu)
Open Settings
Scroll down to Version — you'll see the installed version number (e.g. 8.3.5)
💡 Compare the version number shown in the app with what the App Store or Google Play offers (see instructions below). If the numbers differ, you have an outdated app and it's worth updating.
How to update the app
iPhone (App Store)
Open the App Store
Tap your profile picture in the top right
Scroll to the Available Updates section
Find Cluby in the list — if you see an Update button next to it, an update is available
Tap Update. Once the update is complete, open Cluby again.
💡 Alternatively, search the App Store for "Cluby" — if the app shows Update (instead of Open), an update is available.
Android (Google Play)
Open the Google Play Store
Tap your profile picture in the top right
Choose Manage apps and device
Choose Updates available
Find Cluby in the list and tap Update — or choose Update all if you want to update several apps at once
Tip: turn on automatic updates
If you don't want to check for updates manually, you can turn on automatic updates — the app then updates itself in the background.
iPhone: Settings → App Store → App Updates (toggle on)
Android: Google Play Store → Profile picture → Settings → Network preferences → Auto-update apps
If the update doesn't appear
Sometimes an update doesn't show up straight away or the update button can't be found. Try these:
Close and reopen the App Store / Google Play — fresh updates sometimes only show up after a restart
Wait a few hours — a new version is rolled out gradually to all users, so it may not be available to you right away
Check your phone's operating system — if your phone's OS is very old, the newest Cluby versions may not be compatible. Update the phone's OS first.
Restart your phone — helps surprisingly often
