Examples of member cards, recurring subscriptions and stamp passes

Inspiration for the different member cards, recurring subscriptions and stamp passes you can offer — and tips for when to use each.

Cluby gives you flexible ways to reward loyal customers and grow repeat revenue. Here's inspiration for the different member cards, recurring subscriptions and stamp passes you can offer your customers — plus tips on when each one works best.

💡 There are three types of member cards: given (granted manually), purchased (one-time payment) and recurring subscription card (monthly fee).

Given cards — VIPs, staff and partners

You grant these manually to specific members. The cards aren't publicly available.

VIP card

For your most loyal regulars and venue favourites. Benefits can include free entry, free cloakroom, discounts on selected products or advance table reservations.

💡 Good use case: rewarding customers who visit often and bring their friends along.

Staff card

For your own team and kitchen staff. You can define specific benefits like discounts on food, drinks or free coffee during a shift.

Partner or community card

A good fit for supporters of a sports club, corporate partners or local communities. Members of the community get their own exclusive benefits, which boosts your venue's visibility in new target groups.

💡 Good use case: bring in new customers in collaboration with local communities.

Purchased cards — one-time payment

Customers can buy these in the Cluby app with a single payment.

Season pass

Valid for a specific season (e.g. summer, autumn, or a year). Often includes perks such as free entry to events or skip-the-queue privileges.

💡 Good use case: seasonal venues or nightclubs that want to lock in seasonal customers in advance.

Yearly free entry card

Unlimited free entry to selected venues for a year. Excellent for regular visitors who want to save on entry fees.

Bundle card

"5 dinners with drinks" — bundles where the customer pays once and gets a better deal.

Recurring subscription cards — monthly fee

The customer subscribes to the card and is charged automatically every month. Brings your venue predictable, steady income.

Coffee pass

For coffee lovers: unlimited filter coffee for a fixed monthly fee. Perfect for those who often pop in for a morning coffee or between tasks.

💡 Pricing tip: if the customer visits 3+ times a month, the coffee pass pays for itself — market this logic to your customers.

Porridge or breakfast card

Daily breakfast at a fixed monthly price. Suits cafés and breakfast spots that want to lock in office workers and students.

VIP membership

A premium membership on a monthly fee — includes e.g. free entry, discounts off the menu and access to private events.

Stamp passes — rewarding repeat purchases

A stamp pass isn't a member card; it's a product of its own. The customer collects stamps from a specific purchase and gets a reward once they have enough.

Lunch pass (e.g. 10+1 free)

The customer buys 10 lunches and gets the 11th lunch free. A classic, effective way to reward repeat visits. Easy to understand and proven to work.

Coffee pass (collect stamps)

Like the lunch pass, but with coffee — e.g. every 7th coffee free. Suits cafés that want to reward repeat purchases without the commitment of a monthly subscription.
